Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel pictures from the last trip
| One thing you will notice when I post pics of me going into a plane: I am never fashionable lol |
Last Wednesday we got in a plane to Mexico. The problem: The weather in El Salvador was pretty bad. It rain a lot for a entire week and that brought also a lot of economic issues to this tiny country in Central America. But, differently from Japan or Haiti(two extremes, one is a very rich and economically active country, the other is a very poor country), seems like the international media didn't care about the flood.
What I saw last week, as a lot of poor people in the highway begging for help, and flooded land almost everywhere in the country side. I feel terrible for my salvadorenos, I wish I could do something, but, oh well... maybe just writing and telling people what happened is a beginning?
At El Salvador Airport. We went really early, but one hour after the flight....
It's the only pic I could get from the outside area of the Cancun International Airport. Shitty, but better than nothing? Anyways, when we arrived, after a turbulent flight, we noticed the weather was also bad in the Mexican Caribbean! So me and my hubby decided to instead of book a flight in one of those smaller planes, we would prefer to take a 45 min taxi ride till the docks in the nearest city, Playa del Carmen - which I love doing this, because there is a awesome resort in the way called Desire, and I love that place!! Went there one, best memories ever of my life! I have this weird hobby of trying to figure out where is Desire, it's kinds difficult to find it!
This big Telcel ad in the airport area. They are the best mobile phone company in Mexico.
CORONA BEER! You, specially if from the USA, probably already heard about this beer. Wanna hear something funny? IT IS NOT THE FAVORITE BRAND IN MEXICO! Probably everything you've heard till today about Corona is bs. Corona is very expensive in Mexico and mexicans prefer drinking Sol or Double XX(equis). This big ad there is in the airport area, so it is a way also to fake advertise to the gringos(americans) coming to Mexico to keep their illusion that in Mexico mexicans drink Corona. No, they just want your money and there you will find better beer. I recommend Sol.
On our way to Playa Del Carmen. Finally leaving the airport district!!
...45 minutes later, we are at the docks to get the ferry to Cozumel. But we were 2 hours earlier, so we decided to take a walk around Playa del Carmen.
Sad sights this time in Playa. Lots of small stores were closed. And big brands too, like McDonald's, Burger King and Johnny Rockets(the last one I loved to go because of the 50-60's feeling :( ). I saw this young lady with a chihuahua dressed in pink. WAS SO CUTE, I MUST HAVE A CHIHUAHUA IN PINK TOO!!! Sadly I get too embarrassed to ask for pic >_<
The view from the inside of the ferry
Bye bye Playa del Carmen....
...and hello Cozumel! The water is just so blue!
My thumb in Cozumel. It was asking a pic. From our home there we can throw a rock and will hit the coral - words from my hubby which he always say to his friends when he is inviting them to come to Cozumel.
Ugly me. After Gym. I tove the opportunity to go to the gym almost everyday I was there.
THE VIEW!! THIS VIEW... WAAAAAAA!!
Infinity pool, I didn't jump there this time. Was busy fixing the apartment and working out.
THIS VIEW!! WAAAAAAH
...and then on sunday I had to get sick. We went to Kelly's, the Irish pub in the island, because darling wanted to spend some time there before he gets hungry enough to go eat at the chinese buffet in Chi Restaurant. Then he met with some friend who was smoking some cigar and oh boy, that thing was strong, so strong that was closing my throat! I almost died, but my hubby saved me...
Next day, going back to Playa del Carmen to go back to the airport... I love to get the ferry, I love the motion of the sea, brings me such good vibes!
Ignore the fat me and see how blue is the sky and the sea!!! WOOOAAAAAAAA!!!
I always see this little plane yard thing in Playa. It's so cute! I love planes!!
And in the airport in Cancun, you see HARLEY DAVIDSON STORE....
OH YEAH, you know what is coming up next... I have a craze for this movie and this place....
I get so crazy that I even can't take a great pic of it... It's the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. I've only seen it in Cancun. I didn't eat there, hubby saw California Pizza Kitchen and wanted because he wanted to eat there. BIG MISTAKE. According to him, who is american, the pizza in the California Pizza Kitchen in the Cancun airport is crap. And it really is, I didn't even need to go eat in the US to taste that thing was bad!
I took some video of the airport, check it out!
Me x2, second pic makes me giggle, because of the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. behind me. And I look cute.
The airport is just so huge and beautiful. I saw so many brazilians this time too.
...More Bubba Gump because never is enough!
So that's it!
Was a quick trip to Mexico but really enjoyable.
Now, one more time.... THAT VIEW!!!

Cozumel, the real boulevard of broken dreams
This weekend I've been around the mexican caribbean. How the impact of the american economy affected this area in just 6 months! It's really unbelievable and sad to see even big brand name stores, like McDonald's, Burger King and 21st Century closing their doors due the high dependency on the gringo tourism! In Playa del Carmen, a lot of small stores are closing too and this area is also getting violent. In special the dreamland of Cozumel. After seeing and feeling the impact of the american economy it is even scary to stay here.
Six months ago, me and my husband already had learn that in the island of Cozumel, is hard to find trustful people to do business. Doesn't matter if latin or american, it seems like everybody is like crabs in the bucket, they want to take down whoever is growing, they want to scam or steal. We first came across a owner of a hotel to do some marketing business to him, but he always was changing things in the contract, then my husband had enough and decided to rent a condo for us to stay in Cozumel. We met this really energetic guy that used the name of "Tony" and we hired him to be our real estate agent. Came out later he was wanted in the US and was using a fake name. That guy even stole his own wife! He is arrested now in a prison in Mexico.
What I want to tell trough this post is, if you gonna do some business in this area, be careful and DO NOT trust people, doesn't matter their nationality, because this area is falling apart due to be so dependent of cruise ship tourists coming from the US, mostly, and if you are smart and follow the news, you know that the US economy is collapsing.
Everything in Cozumel is changing. The innocence of this place is disappearing. When we first arrive here this weekend we got really surprised to have our luggage checked by cops at the ferry dock, something that never happened before. They are doing it because two or three weeks ago, a group of 13 guys, leaded by people from Veracruz(according from what we heard), stole 200,000USD in jewelry from a Diamonds International store in the island. The kids were caught, the leaders, probably drug dealers, runaway. Scares me because in Veracruz is where gangs are beheading people because of drug dealing. Even the most peaceful place in Mexico is turning into a boulevard of broken dreams.
I hope all these bad experiences will stop. I love Cozumel and I feel terrible for its people. And by what I mean from its people, I mean the cozumaleno, the one who was born and raised here, who doesn't need to kiss ass of any cruise ship to try to survive, and because of this, is turning violent, because they are desperate to survive.

Update( ´ ▽ ` )οΎ‰
Hi guys!
So I made it to Cozumel, Mexico. The day we arrived was really shitty weather, but now the sky is just gorgeous. I have a incredible review to write about a waist trimmer I used for the first time today to work out. Oh, talking about work out, today I went live while working out. Did you watch it on Stickam??
I also posted a video tweet while I was working out doing some spinning. I will be here in Cozumel till Monday and I want to take all the opportunities to work out.
Last for this quick update - I am using my iPhone to update the blog trough the app for Blogger - here are some pics I posted on instaGram that I want to share. See ya!!

One Year Special Post - My Style History(With PICS!)
As you already noticed, October is the month of anniversary of The Venusian Taurus.
I've been kinda blah to post recently because of what is going on here in El Salvador.
It's just raining too much! I know people who lost everything. It's nobody's fault, tough, things like this can happen any time.
In 2 days I will be in Cozumel, Mexico. Me and my husband decided to give up on our apartment there and focus on our business here in El Salvador. I want to open my clothing store *smile* and help with the bills.
Wow, one year already passed since the first post?? One year of being "Jade Love"?! A LOT of things happened to me this past year. The Playboy Miss Social Contest, a couple of photoshoots, trips to Bogota, Colombia(which I LOVE!!! EXTRANO MUCHO A BOGOTA Y A COLOMBIANOS), Cozumel, resorts around Cancun, learning spanish and, of course, my hair getting bigger.
In this post I want to share some pics that you probably never seen of me!
Pics of when I was really really young.
This is the oldest pic I have of myself.
I was 16!! And you can see by the eye make up and a tiny bit of my hair that I was totally into gyaru. I had a piercing, not only one better saying, I had 5 piercing. Today I only kept my belly button one. I really miss those days, if wasn't for the fact I used to be the only one gyaru in that time. This pic is from 2004, Natsumi Yoshida was my idol.
... The, due to complications in school - I was studying in the same school that my brother was a teacher and to not make he look bad - I chopped my hair, but kept the make up. Sadly, in this pic you can't see. I remember when I took it, in the girls bathroom, there were some girls smoking there, they were the bad girls, I was just taking my pics and being a happy camwhore...
During that year, I had to keep the dark hair, but I let it grow. Last pic, me and the most awesome cat in the Universe, Gohan. I miss him a lot!
Then, school is done, and I finally have some freedom with my head again...
Then, this happened to me in only one year... Too many style changes...
Put some purple in my hair. I don't know why it looks so blue till today!
Bleached hair, totally yellow, but I tried to make a style from it, hahaha!
Then, platinum... cute <3 I miss that color! Second pic is platinum with fake black streaks of fake hair.
Then I got mad and thrown some purple, leaving some platinum/yellow stripes. WILD! I remember walking in a shopping mall and this old lady start to hold her purse, thinking that I probably would be some sort of criminal *LOL*
Then, I got mad, chopped my hair, dye it in a dark brown, and put more piercings in my face. But I started to wear more elegant, dropped the tomboy style. I kept this look till my hair was long enough to do agejo/kyabajo... These next pics are from 2009!
Do you remember Seina Diamante? Was the name I used during my kyabajo/agejo time :)
I had too many internet handles in the past, including... POCKET GAL!
It was a wig, not real hair!... Pocket Gal was way before Seina Diamante, but back to Kyabajo/Agejo!
My Seina Alter-ego was really cute. I miss that hair color!!!! I want to be back to blonde so bad!! Oh, and I still have that bow, I need to take pics with it!! I WILL TAKE PICS WITH IT BECAUSE IT IS MAD CUTE!!
Creepy look lol I turned into such a doll, I wonder how I got this white in this pic O.O
Then I had some drama going on with some loser that wasn't even gyaru-o, but dated a western gal - cough, Coleman, cough - and tired of the bullshit, I dropped the style. I went to a more normal look.
I wanted to have a man in my life. In the end of 2009, after dating a spanish guy and finding out that I was just a affair, I dye my hair jet black. Was with this color that I met the man that changed my life 180 degrees.
After this, I only bleached it once and dyed it in red and then back to black till today...
So, this is my special anniversary post showing my style improvement since I was 16!
I keep the same look since Playboy Miss Social, but I really think of lighten my hair to some chocolate. But not right now. I am really enjoying my black hair.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THIS FIRST YEAR OF MY BLOG!!!!
